My sister is always there for me

When I’m down, she helps me back up

I’m lucky to have a sister so caring

Sometimes I can feel us slipping apart

So I try to pull us back

I tell her everything, she does the same

I can express my feeling to her and there

       Is no shame

       When we’re acting like psychos

We don’t care what people think

       ‘Cuz we’re being ourselves

When we go our separate ways

I’ll never forget all those fun times

        We’ve had

THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL

To many people he was just an entertainer. To others he made you want to try your best. Not that I knew him or anything, but the way they talk about him it’s just like ‘’WOW,’’ you wouldn’t even think. Some people judge him and ‘’Why would you like him, he’s just like any other celebrity!’’  Just like any other celebrity, he had problems, so he used drugs to solve them. Because of doing this he lost the love of his life, Priscilla. When he’s at home he’s another southern boy. But on stage he’s a completely different person. At performances, he lit up the stage and brought the audience to life. His fans were loyal to him even though, at one point, his career was going downhill. They stood behind him every step of the way. Even to this day he is still appreciated and respected. He’s a legend living throughout the world. Who was he……’’The King!’’

WHAT WOULD'VE HAPPENED

Often I wonder what would’ve happened to me if I lived when Martin Luther King was alive. I would’ve stood up for what I believed in. Or at least die trying. For some it was hard. I would’ve boycotted everything. Even food! I would encourage other blacks to do the same, even if I was only a child. I think that one voice can make a big difference. I’m sure if I did this I would’ve gone to prison a bunch of times! I can’t believe that just because we’re black, we had to be treated differently. I believe that Martin Luther King was a great leader, and someone had to assassinate him for just trying to make a difference for all blacks in the world.

The Boy Who Flew

This story is about a mom who has a monster son. The monster has to eat a certain amount of people a year. So they put people in to kill the monster. Soon a man and his son want to get free. So the man and his son make wings like birds. So they do. Then they get ready to fly away. When they take of, they are fine. Then all of a sudden, the son is playing around in the air, and he gets to close to the sun. His feathers start to fall and so does he. He falls into the ocean and drowns.

I think that this story was very bland and boring. It’s hard to pay attention to what you are reading
